Silicon carbide ceramic membrane(SIC) is made by recrystallization technology through high temperature sintering. Its porous support layer, transition layer and membrane layer are all made of silicon carbide, and its filtering accuracy is microfiltration and ultrafiltration. SiC membrane filtration system is a kind of fluid separation process in the form of "cross flow filtration". The feed liquid flows at a high speed in the membrane tube. Under the pressure driving, the clear permeate with small molecular components penetrates the dense layer of the membrane in a vertical direction, and the turbid concentrate with large molecular components is intercepted, so as to realize the purpose of fluid clarification, separation, concentration and purification.
The advantages of silicon carbide ceramic membrane:
1) Good chemical stability, strong acid and alkali resistance
Strong acid, strong alkali, strong corrosive conditions of solid-liquid separation, and it can use any organic solvent cleaning, easy to clean. Under any conditions the membrane can restore the initial flux;
2) Good thermal stability, heat shock resistance - stable operation under high temperature;
3) Opening porosity is high, flux is large -- compared with the conventional membrane; under the same conditions, equipment integration is high, floor area is small, energy consumption is low, and investment is small;
4) Good hydrophilic and oleophobic property - it can separate oil and water efficiently;
5) The membrane has high bonding strength, good wear resistance and long service life.
