Ceramic membrane, also known as CT membrane, is a kind of solid membrane. It was first developed and introduced into the market by Japan in 1996. Combined with the construction of application-oriented membrane material design and preparation method, the low-cost production of ceramic membrane was realized. It solved the bottleneck problem of ceramic membrane popularization and application.

Ceramic membrane is sintered from inorganic oxide with high temperature resistance. And chemical characteristics are relatively stable. In the case of more stringent conditions, it still maintain good performance. Compared with organic membrane, inorganic ceramic membrane has stronger anti pollution ability, better backwashing effect and larger flux. The flux of inorganic ceramic membrane is 5-10 times of that of organic membrane.

Ceramic membranes are widely used in food industry, bioengineering, environmental engineering, chemical industry, petrochemical industry, metallurgical industry, etc.
