The Application of MBR Flat Membrane in Wastewater Treatment Plant

Membrane bioreactor (MBR) originated in the 1960s. MBR is widely used in the field of wastewater treatment and reuse because of its advantages of good effluent quality, stable operation, less excess sludge and small area. At present, MBR is mainly used in domestic sewage and urban sewage treatment.

In order to solve the shortage of water resources, reduce the operation cost of the sewage treatment plant, and solve the contradiction between supply and demand of urban water, MBR flat membrane is used instead of the traditional secondary sedimentation tank to treat the sewage with membrane separation technology, which has the advantages of higher efficiency and better filtration precision. The effluent can meet the first class a standard of pollutant discharge standard for urban sewage treatment plant (GB18918-2002), and the produced water can be used for road cleaning, toilet flushing, production reuse water, etc., so as to realize the reuse of sewage.

The MBR flat membrane has high retention performance for organic and inorganic particles. Through the selective separation of the microporous structure on the membrane surface, a large number of bacteria, colloids and macromolecular substances can be removed from the sewage. The removal rate of suspended matter can reach 100% and the effluent is better than the reuse standard.

At present, many sewage treatment plants have been established for a long time. The original combination of biochemical and disinfection technology has been adopted. In recent years, many new and traditional treatment plants have been transformed. The combination of biochemical and MBR membrane components makes the effluent more stable.
