After continuous research and exploration, the scientific research team of the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of education of advanced ceramics and processing technology developed the high-throughput material screening technology finally, invented the original low-temperature film-forming formula, designed and developed the advanced roller kiln firing automation assembly line. It not only improves the batch production technology of flat ceramic membrane, but also creates new opportunities for the industrial field of environmental treatment and water resource utilization with membrane technology as the core. It also means that China has successfully industrialized the inorganic membrane with high cost performance. NanoMem has formed the production line of flat ceramic membrane with annual output value of 200 million yuan.
Professor Zhong Cheng, the core member of the team, said: "the price was extremely expensive because the core membrane technology was previously monopolized by foreign countries, which seriously hindered the use of domestic enterprises. Our current innovation has successfully reduced the price of flat ceramic membrane to less than 15% of the same kind of foreign ceramic membrane products. The entity enterprises adopting this scientific research achievement have effectively broken through the long-term international monopoly and expanded the overseas market. In the future, the team will continue to invest in more innovative research and development, and seek multi-party application cooperation, so that the high cost-effective flat ceramic membrane can be used by environmental engineering and real enterprises. We will also continue to carry out in-depth scientific and technological innovation around key materials applied in the field of new energy and environmental protection".
