The sources of oil-bearing and degreasing wastewater are very wide, such as oil extraction, oil refining, oil storage and transportation in petroleum industry and petrochemical industry. In addition, there are metal cutting fluid, cooling lubricant wastewater and oil-bearing wastewater from food processing.
In these oily wastewater, the oil often exists in the form of free oil, dispersed oil, emulsified oil and dissolved oil. These substances will cause serious harm to the ecological environment. For example, they can prevent the oxygen in the air from melting into the water, so that the plankton in the water will be asphyxiated due to lack of oxygen, resulting in the pollution of fish and shrimp.
For the water surface oil slick, the treatment method is relatively simple, using natural floating method, adsorption method, vortex separation and other methods. It is difficult to treat the disperse oil and emulsified oil with certain stability in kinetics. A lot of research has been done on the treatment of the disperse oil and emulsified oil in wastewater. Wastewater treatment methods include physical treatment, chemical treatment and biochemical treatment.
1) Physical treatment methods: coagulation sedimentation, air flotation, adsorption and coarsening, cyclone separation, filtration and membrane separation.
2) Chemical treatment: wet oxidation, chemical oxidant oxidation, electrolytic flocculation and electrolytic floatation.
3) Biochemical treatment methods: activated sludge method, biofilm method and oxidation pond method.
The basic principle of oil-bearing wastewater treatment is to realize oil-water separation by using the retention effect of microporous membrane on oil drop. As the country pays more and more attention to environmental protection and the strictness of industrial wastewater discharge standards, membrane separation has been paid more and more attention as a sewage advanced treatment technology by environmental scientists.
Inorganic membrane, especially flat ceramic filtration membrane, has increasingly shown its strong competitiveness due to its superior mechanical and chemical stability and good retention capacity. In the treatment of oily wastewater, it has the characteristics of stable operation, good effluent quality, small floor area, convenient expansion, no consumption of chemical agents in normal operation, no new sludge and good quality of recovered oil. Flat ceramic filtration membrane has outstanding advantages of acid, alkali, corrosion resistance, organic solvent resistance, convenient cleaning, high membrane flux and long service life.
At present, the main application fields of Nanomem inorganic ceramic membrane are oil field produced water treatment, metal cleaning fluid, steel rolling emulsion treatment and petrochemical, spray line degreasing cleaning fluid treatment, oil alkali refining wastewater treatment, zinc plating line degreasing cleaning fluid treatment, banknote printing waste water treatment, oil-bearing wastewater treatment in chemical industry and so on.
