1. Paper wastewater pollution
The main sources of paper waste are as follows:
(1) The waste liquid from the cooking pulp (or straw pulp), which is called liquid;
(2) The waste discharged by the beating machine and the fine pulper is called the beating waste;
(3) The paper machine waste, which can be directly used, is called tail water.
2. Characteristics of paper waste
The paper waste is complex in composition, poor in chemical properties and difficult to be treated
(1) Suspended matter: the main types of precipitable and non settling suspended substances are fiber and fiber fineness
Materials;
(2) Degradable organic compounds: hemicellulose, alcohol, acid, formic acid, sugar, etc;
(3) Refractory organic matter: the quality of fiber raw materials;
(4) Toxic substances: loose acid and unsaturated fatty acid contained in the liquid;
(5) Acid and alkali substances: The pH value of alkaline pulping waste is 9-10, and that of acid pulping waste is 1.2-2.0;
(6) Color degree: the residual quality and quality of pulp waste and the paper making agent.
