How to store the used ceramic membrane module?

The used ceramic membrane components must be stored after being completely cleaned Generally speaking, there are three storage ways.

1) Store in the liquid phase at a temperature lower than 0 ℃; after cleaning, it needs to use 50% w / W glycol solution (antifreeze) and 1000ppm glutaraldehyde solution (bactericide) for preservation. 0.1% w / W sodium bisulfite solution can also be used as bactericide. Fungicide is to prevent the growth of bacteria on the surface of the membrane, and antifreeze is to prevent the ceramic membrane from freezing or cracking. When the concentrated side and dialysis side of the component are full of protective liquid, all valves shall be closed, and the dialysis outlet and concentration outlet of the component shall be sealed.

2) Store in the liquid phase at a temperature higher than 0 ℃: after cleaning the components, it needs to use 0.5% w / W nitric acid for soaking the components. Then seal the dialysis and concentration outlets. Nitric acid kills all bacteria present. The components shall be stored at room temperature and not lower than 0 ℃. The components need to be emptied of the used solution (once a month) regularly and then filled with fresh nitric acid solution.

3) Drying and storage: if there is a large clean oven available, the option is to bake the components at 90 ℃ for at least 24 hours to ensure that the ceramic membrane is dried (the dialysis port is opened). The temperature of the oven shall rise from room temperature to the recommended drying temperature under the condition that the temperature rise does not exceed 10 ℃ per minute. After 24 hours of baking, the components shall be cooled to room temperature at a temperature rise of no more than 10 ℃ per minute. When the membrane element is completely dry, it does not need antifreeze and bactericide for treatment.
