How to Use Flat Ceramic Membrane for Mine Sewage Treatment?

The sewage discharged can not be ignored, which is from hydraulic mining and water sand filling mining. According to statistics, if backwater utilization is not considered, the waste water discharge volume is about 1m3 for producing 1ton ore; the waste water would be discharged from 0.5 to 10m3 when 1 ton raw coal production. In addition, when some mines are closed, there will be a large number of waste water that will continue to pollute the mining environment. And the impact of mine wastewater is far beyond the mining area itself.

Main pollutants in mine wastewater:

(1) Organic pollutants. In the mine waste water pool and tailings pond, the decomposition of plants may make the organic content in the waste water. The waste water is discharged from the concentrator, coal washing plant and analysis laboratory contains organic matters such as phenol, cresol and naphthol, which are extremely harmful to aquatic organisms.

(2) Oil pollutants. Oil pollution is a common pollutant in mines. The oil-bearing waste water forms oil film when it is immersed in the pores, which will block the soil structure, damage the growth of plants and even make crops wither. The oil film hinders the transfer of oxygen from the atmosphere to the water on the water surface, resulting in the lack of oxygen in the water and the death of aquatic organisms due to lack of oxygen.

(3) Acid and alkali pollution. Acid and alkali pollution is a common phenomenon in water pollution. When acid and alkali waste water is discharged into water, it will change the pH value of water, inhibit the growth of bacteria and microorganisms, hinder the self purification of water , corrode ships and hydraulic structures, and destroy the normal ecological cycle.

(4) Cyanide. Cyanide is highly toxic. People will die if they take about 0.1g sodium cyanide and potassium cyanide by mistake. Sensitive people can even die at 0.06g. When the content of CN - in water reaches 0.3-0.5mg/l, the fish will die.

Traditional process: Flocculation and sedimentation + subsequent treatment

Process characteristics:

(1) Large floor area: a lot of water pools need to be dug.

(2) Long treatment time: it takes time for flocculation and sedimentation.

(3) High operation cost: flocculant should be added continuously during operation.

(4) Poor quality of produced water: sedimentation treatment is not enough.

(5) Unstable water quality: the water quality fluctuates up and down under the influence of temperature, dosage and residence time.

Application of flat ceramic membrane in mine waste water

Process characteristics:

(1) Less floor space: the flux of Nanomem® flat ceramic membrane can reach about 10 tons / day per square meter in mine wastewater treatment, greatly reducing the floor space of ceramic membrane module and equipment.
